Phillip Phillips (otherwise Phillip David) (of the parish of Cilrhedin*) on 10 April 1767 in the parish of Cenarth assaulted Elizabeth James, spinster, with a knife (value 3d) striking her and giving her seven mortal wounds on her body and a mortal wound 6" long and 1" deep on her throat so that she instantly died (WALES 4/738/5).

Death sentence passed on Saturday 18 April (WALES 14/5 ).

In C&iN PP stabbed and cut throat of Elizabeth James his sweetheart on 8/9 April hanged in chains at Newcastle Emlyn.
